[OSEN=Reporter Huiseon Yeon] Singer and actor Minue Noh returns in four years with 'Partners for Justice Season 2'. In the drama, other actors and directors are giving credit to Minue Noh as the ‘key player’.

In June 3, 2019, the production announcement for new MBC Monday and Tuesday drama ‘Partners for Justice Season 2’ was held in MBC building located in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul. Producer and director Dochul Noh and main actors including Jaeyoung Jeong, Yumi Jeong, Mansuk Oh, Seunghyun Kang, and Minue Noh participated and talked about the drama in the production announcement.

‘Partners for Justice Season 2’ is a drama about the cooperative inspection between geeky forensic scientist Bum Baek (Jaeyoung Jeong) who carry out autopsy on victims, new passionate prosecutor Eunsol (Yumi Jeong), and prosecutor Jihan Doh (Mansuk Oh) who is called as Doberman of Eastern Branch of District Public Prosecutors’ Office. ‘Partners for Justice Season 1’ was aired from May to July last year and people are expecting for the season 2 as MBC’s first season drama aired on 9 PM.

In this drama, Minue Noh acted as a strict doctor working at the emergency department. After his last web drama ‘Eating Existence’ season 1, he returns with ‘Partners for Justice Season 2’ after four years. He served in the army from 2016 to 2018 for 2 years.

Noh said “I didn’t know that 4 years have passed since ‘Eating Existence’. In the meantime, I completed my military service and I am really happy to be in ‘Partners for Justice Season 2’ as my first drama after my service. During my military service, I enjoyed every episode of season 1 and I feel nervous about acting with actors who are much more experienced than me”.

He also said “One thing I realized is that the average age of staff got really lower and they call me ‘Mr. Noh’. When I check their age, some of the staff were actually younger than me. In ‘Eating Existence’, I was the youngest among the staff. Now, I am older and I enjoy buying foods for the staff”

Noh is known as an introvert person among the fans and he may have felt burden from joining as the new member in the season 2 with other actors from season 1. He answered that “Actually, I am a little shy than actors from season 1 and it took some time for me to get along with them”. He said “Chul Jang is a character who mostly works at hospital and emergency center rather than National Forensic Service. So, I haven’t had much chance to work with other actors. Then, I had my first chance to act with characters from National Forensic Service. I was really nervous at that time and I made a lot of mistakes”.

Noh also delivered that “When I was filming the scene, Jaeyoung Jeong was right beside me. Bum Baek is a character who always says ‘Get out’ to others and I was afraid of him saying ‘Get out’ when I make mistakes. Then, Jeong warmly said ‘It’s okay. We all have been there’ and that comforted me a lot. Also, there is a group messenger chat and I am thinking about buying character emoticons for making others laugh”.

Since Noh had been away from acting for a long time, Noh showed his strong will. He said “I feel a huge sense of responsibility and burden while shooting the drama. But I overcame them through trust toward the production staff”. Noh also said that it’s his first time to act a doctor in the emergency department. Noh emphasized that “Our director wanted all surgery scenes and moving lines in the emergency room to be very realistic. He takes whole scene from the start to the end and he sometimes connects even to the next scene with his camera lens. Before shooting, I was worried because I wanted to learn more about doctors but had no information about doctors. Then, the director gave me a valuable chance and I had a time to get training from the emergency center. Also, the doctors would come to the every shooting scene and instruct me in details. So, I am expecting the higher tension in every scene compared to the previous medical dramas”.

Noh also said “Chul Jang may seem like a cold-hearted person. However, when you watch every episode, you will find his new sides. For every episode, I deeply think about how to help viewers accept such unexpected sides of Chul Jang naturally. I actually haven’t watched the edited version. When I asked the director about acting, he encouraged me by saying ‘You are doing great’ and he points about when I am loose. That makes me trust on him”.

In addition, Jaeyoung Jeong and producer Dochul Noh showed strong belief toward Minue Noh. Jeong proudly said “You will be surprised by how Minue Noh and Seunghyun Kang appear in the season 2. I can’t express them with words. You will understand as you watch the episode and why I told you this. I would say we are alike each other. I can’t tell you the details because it would be a spoiler”.

Also, producer Dochul Noh said “Season 1 was like a prequel for explaining Bum Baek and Eunsol. With characters from season 1, ‘Partners for Justice season 2’ focused on episodes and details on the cases. The viewers would understand the drama by watching the case episode. The most important line in season 2 depends on Chul Jang". Noh said "Chul Jang has a very mysterious character and I was worried about finding the perfect actor for playing such role. Then, Minue Noh walked in for the audition and I immediately decided ‘He should be the one’ as soon as I saw him. Jeong told Minue Noh that ‘Viewers already know about our characters and season 2 depends on you’. I hope our viewers would enjoy the character Chul Jang in season 2”.

How would Minue Noh respond to expectations from other actors and production staff? ‘Partners for Justice season 2’ with Minue Noh will be first aired today (June 3) on 8:55 PM.
