(Seoul=News ) Reporter Mihyeon Hwang = Hoppipolla became the final winner for King of Kings Match Part II.

On KBS 2TV ‘Immortal Songs – Singing The Legend’ broadcasted on December 21, 6:05 PM, the King of Kings match was held with Jihoon Lee, Junho Son, Hoppipolla, JK Kim Dongwook, Mongni.

Hoppipolla won the King of Kings match and performed on the stage at the last order. Hoppipolla chose ‘Millions of Roses’ by Subong Shim. Hoppipolla showed their charms by expressing the poetic and sexual lyrics as they are.

All 4 members of Hoppipolla performed on the stage with cello. Hoppipolla members gave goose bumps with their cello and demonstrated their unique stage differentiated from others. 

Hoppipolla won the match with 420 votes.

4th-generation Korean traditional musician brothers, Junsu Kim, Taepyeongyang Yu, and Yeongyeol Go, performed on the first stage. They chose and performed ‘Idol’ by BTS.  

They appeared by playing a drum and showed a grand scale from the beginning. They also used Korean traditional rejoinder such as ‘Ulsoo’ and ‘Great’ to rearrange ‘Idol’ by BTS. RM’s rap part was arranged like doing Pansori and emphasized the traditional charms by combining choreography.

Second stage was performed by Hoiseung Yu. Yu chose ‘Celebrity’ by PSY. He started the song with a calm mood. Then, he changed the mood drastically and made the audiences excited with cheers and powerful voice.  

In the match between two, the Korean traditional music brothers won 377 votes and won the match.

The next stage was performed by Jihoon Lee and Junho Son. The two people chose ‘We Are’ by Changsik Song. The two musicians enhanced the level of completion by having a full orchestra on the stage. The audiences were impressed by Lee and Son’s performance like watching a musical.

After the stage, Lee and Son won 406 votes and became the new winner.

Then, next stage was performed by Mongni who won the most rounds in ‘Immortal Songs’. Mongni sang ‘Bright Lignt in Flowers’ by Kyunghee Park. Before going up the stage, Mongni showed their ambition and said “We desperately want the trophy for King of Kings match’. They performed together with chorus on the stage and their powerful voice proved their potential as the group that won the most matches in ‘Immortal Songs’.

In the match, Mongni won 413 votes and became the new winner by winning Jihoon Lee & Junho Son by 7 votes.

After Mongni, JK King Dongwook decorated the stage. JK Kim Dongwook has unique voice and his winning rate reaches up to 50%. For King of Kings match, JK Kim Dongwook sang ‘In The Rain’ by Moonsae Lee. He fascinated the audiences with appealing and sweet voice that expressed the feeling of the song.

In the vote, JK Km Dongwook couldn’t pass Mongni and Mongni won two rounds in a row.
