[Xsportsmedia Reporter Hyunjeong Kim] ‘Partners for Justice Season
2’ showed that MINUE and Doctor K will be playing significant role in the
drama.
MBC Monday and Tuesday drama ‘Partners for Justice Season 2’ passed the halfway point after airing 21 episodes among 32 episodes. ‘Partners for Justice Season 2’ is MBC’s first seasonal drama and the special cooperation between a strict forensic doctor Bum Baek (Jaeyoung Jeong), new passionate prosecutor Eunsol (Yumi Jeong), and experienced prosecutor Jihan Doh (Mansuk Oh) is getting favorable responses from the viewers.
While the drama started with the national ratings of 3.8% on June 3, the national ratings went up to 8.7% based on its well-structured and interesting stories.
Partners for Justice Season 2’ features Jaeyoung Jeong, Yumi Jeong, Mansuk Oh, Seunghyun Kang, and MINUE. Jaeyoung Jeong is acting as a forensic doctor, Bum Baek. Yumi Jeong is acting as a new prosecutor Eunsol who grew up from the season 1. Also, Mansuk Oh is acting as an experienced prosecutor who went through numerous difficulties. Meanwhile, MINUE and Seunghyun Kang newly appeared on season 2 and they are acting for doctor Chul Jang and researcher Sally Kim respectively.
MINUE’s Chul Jang was not just a cool-headed and strict emergency
department doctor. He was Doctor K who is the key figure of the cases. In the
drama, Chul Jang shows mysterious behaviors. In one of the episode, he looked
at a crime note remaining in drawing and shed tears saying “It’s him again”.
The previous episode also implied that Chul Jang is related to the chief
prosecutor Daehul Gal (Doguk Lee). Furthermore, the recent episode revealed
that Chul Jang actually had a personality disorder with dual personality.
In the press conference for ‘Partners for Justice Season 2’ held
at MBC, Sangam, Mapo-gu, Seoul on July 8, MINUE said “When I first got the scenario
and script, I felt a lot of pressure from acting as Chul Jang and Doctor K with
dual personality. I tried my best to find the middle point between the director’s
thoughts on dual personality and my thoughts on dual personality from other
movies and dramas I saw. Before joining the drama, I watched numerous films in
a row. I watched about 3 to four films about murderer and psychopath. As I watched
films every day, I even got used to violent movies with bloods”.
MINUE also said that “Since Chul Jang is a special character
in the drama, I deeply thought about how to make viewers to feel the character
naturally without discomfort. I became more confident as our viewers are
enjoying Chul Jang in the drama. Although acting for Chul Jang is not easy, the
director gave me excellent scenes so that I can immerse in to the character
better. I am also getting a lot of helps on acting”.
He continued that “I was walking on the road and someone said ‘Don’t die,
Doctor K’. I could feel that a lot of people are actually enjoying our drama. I
recently read the script for later episodes and I am enjoying it a lot as a
viewer. I am thankful for all love and supports. Next episodes aired on this Monday
and Tuesday have a scene where Doctor K and Chul Jang talk to each other. I
hope our viewers enjoy that scene. In the following episode, Doctor K will be
involved in numerous cases and I am sure the viewers would feel tensed for his
presence”.
MINUE also mentioned about the original sound track for the drama. “I
composed and wrote a track titled ‘Poison’ and it will come out today (July 8).
Please listen to the song sang by I’ll from ‘Super Band’”.
‘Partners for Justice Season 2’ is aired on every Monday and
Tuesday at 8:55 PM.
